Common questions.
Why credits, not per-seat?+
Per-seat pricing taxes you for headcount you already pay salaries for, and forces a flat rate on teams that use AI very differently. Credits track the AI work that actually has a cost — generating frameworks, parsing resumes, running campaigns. A small team that uses AI heavily and a large team that uses it lightly pay something close to fair.
What happens if I run out of credits?+
Read-only access keeps working. Mutating actions that cost credits are blocked until you top up — manually or via auto-top-up at a threshold you set. Free credits reset on the 1st of each month; paid credits never expire.
Can I move from Cloud back to self-hosted?+
Yes. The codebase is the same — Community Edition is AGPLv3 and you can export your data as JSON or XLSX at any time. The Cloud-only features (industry benchmarks, public verification API, cross-company reputation) only live in the network, so those don't travel with you, but the core product does.
What's included in Cloud-only vs Open Source?+
Open Source has every core feature — competencies, 360s, dev plans, career paths, exams, and the AI co-pilot. Cloud adds the cross-company data network: industry benchmarks, the public verification API, the cross-company AI Fluency reputation, and the public leaderboard. By definition, no single self-hosted instance can build a network on its own.
How do industry benchmarks work?+
We aggregate AI Fluency Score distributions across Cloud tenants in the same industry. Each industry needs at least 20 tenants before any number is published — that's the k-anonymity threshold. You see how your team's score compares to the Hoffman 60 / 30 / 5 distribution of your peers without identifying any single company.
